In order to further strengthen laboratory safety management, strengthen the safety awareness of laboratory operators and popularize laboratory safety knowledge, the College held a laboratory safety training meeting in the lecture hall on the third floor on the afternoon of September 5, 2019. Professor Meng qingfan, vice president of the Academy of life sciences, was invited to give a lecture. The lecture was presided over by President Liu Yawen and attended by faculty and graduate students.
Professor Meng qingfan gave a lecture entitled "compaction safety responsibility, strictly observe the safety red line -- on the safety management technology of University Laboratory". Starting from the analysis of laboratory safety accidents, Professor Meng analyzed the characteristics and causes of laboratory safety accidents for teachers and students, and warned them that hidden dangers are everywhere, that hidden dangers are accidents, and that safety is zero tolerance. Professor Meng stressed that in the laboratory safety management, it is necessary to establish a sound responsibility system, improve the laboratory management system, clarify the responsibilities of personnel, and implement various safety work. Professor Meng has brought a valuable and wonderful laboratory safety education lesson to all teachers and students.
Through this training activity, the majority of teachers and students learn more systematically the responsibilities and common sense of daily management of laboratory safety, and more deeply realize the importance of laboratory safety. It has laid a foundation for carrying out laboratory safety management and ensuring the safety of teachers, students and laboratory.
