On August 22, 2019, Professor Michael Siegrist, Department of environmental decision-making, Federal Institute of technology, Zurich, Switzerland visited the school of public health of Jilin University, and made academic reports entitled "consumer behavior: heuristics, dispute and virtual reality". The report focuses on the application of inspiration, aversion and virtual reality in the study of consumption habits. Professor Liu Yawen, Dean of the school of public health, more than 10 teachers and more than 20 students from Jilin University School of administration participated in academic exchanges, and held a heated discussion on the spot.
On August 23, 2019, Professor Michael Siegrist and the teachers and students of Jilin University School of public health discussed the joint scientific research. Both sides expressed strong interest in further cooperation.
This visit also expanded the knowledge and ideas of the majority of teachers and graduate students in our college, and increased the possibility of more in-depth cooperation research and academic exchanges between Jilin University and Zurich Federal Institute of technology in Switzerland.
