The inaugural meeting of the radiation medicine and radiation protection industry alliance, sponsored by the College of radiation medicine and protection of Suzhou University and the State Key Laboratory of radiation medicine and radiation protection, was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province from May 17 to 18, 2019 More than 250 representatives from 63 units and enterprises, including relevant management organizations, attended the meeting. Our hospital was led by Secretary Zhao Guoli, and 9 people including Professor Jin shunzi, Professor Chen Dawei, Professor Shi Lei, Associate Professor Zhang Haiying, Associate Professor Zhao Gang, associate professor Pu Chunji, Associate Professor Shen Yannan and Associate Professor Wang Zhicheng attended the conference.
During this period, the inaugural meeting of radiation medicine and radiation protection branch of China isotope and radiation Industry Association and the first Council of radiation medicine and radiation protection industry alliance were held. At the same time, the Congress discussed and passed the articles of association of radiation medicine and radiation protection industry alliance, and elected the chairman of the alliance, academician Chai Zhifang, executive vice chairman, academician Jin Ming, 10 vice chairman units and 11 executive director units. Cao Jianping, Secretary General of the alliance, and Wang Jingdong, Deputy Secretary General of the alliance. The school of public health of Jilin University was elected as the only vice president unit of radiation medicine and radiation protection industry alliance in Northeast China.
On the afternoon of 18th, Professor Jin shunzi and associate professor Shen Yannan of our college were invited to attend the first radiation biology Symposium of Soochow University sponsored by the College of radiation medicine and protection of Soochow University. The seminar mainly focused on the development trend of radiobiology research field and the expansion of research direction at the present stage. The experts and researchers attending the seminar conducted in-depth discussion and exchange.
On the morning of 19th, accompanied by Xu Yujie, vice president of School of radiation medicine and protection of Soochow University, and Zhu Benxing, director of the office, the team of Department of radiology of Soochow University visited the radiation biology research center, radiotherapy research center, radiation protection research center, public experimental platform and other facilities of State Key Laboratory of radiation medicine and protection. At the same time, aiming at the problems of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, personnel training and scientific research status, we carried out on-site communication and learning. The school of radiation medicine and protection of Soochow University has always been an important academic exchange and personnel training cooperation unit in the Department of radiation medicine of Soochow University. Both sides have good exchange experience and cooperation foundation. They also firmly believe that through further cooperation and joint efforts, they will actively promote the vigorous development of Radiation Medicine in China.
