In order to better implement the general secretary Xi Jinping's national education conference 2018, "education is the important foundation stone for national revitalization and social progress", "education is the education plan for the country's major plan and the party's plan", which helps to implement the strategy of healthy China, and further promotes the reform of public health practice teaching, and improves students' innovative ability. The second national public health comprehensive knowledge and skills competition was held by the public health and Preventive Medicine Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of education. Sun Yat sen University, Southern Medical University, Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and prevention and Guangdong Provincial Institute of occupational disease control and prevention are the co organizers.
The theme of the competition is "theory and practice, prevention and clinical integration". The participants are undergraduates majoring in public health and preventive medicine in full-time medical colleges and universities. The competition is divided into two stages: the preliminary stage and the final stage. After registration, 60 universities including Peking University, Fudan University, Sichuan University, Zhejiang University and Huazhong University of science and Technology participated in the preliminary competition. The organizers Sun Yat sen University and Southern Medical University form teams to directly participate in the final, but do not participate in the ranking. According to the region, 60 colleges and universities are divided into three competition areas, namely the North competition area, the central competition area and the South competition area, with 20 schools in each competition area. Each school sent 20 students to participate in the preliminary competition, which was conducted by online answering and video recording. The preliminary results are ranked according to the average score of 20 students in each school. Finally, the top 10 schools in each competition area were selected to enter the final.
Before the competition, the party and government leaders of the school of public health attached great importance to it. A mobilization meeting was held at the beginning of this semester. According to the competition regulations, 21 outstanding student representatives were selected from the 2014 preventive medicine students of the school. The professional course teachers of the whole school conducted multiple centralized training and Q & A on 10 courses for the candidates, and conducted multiple simulation tests on the online platform of Xuetong.
On April 13, 2019, our hospital sent a total of 21 students (substitutes) from Tian Fei, Zhang Ya, Li Hang, Zheng Yingyan, Zuo Ruyue, Li Yihuan, Chen Chunhua, Wang Xueying, Yang Yingping, Liang Xue, Zhang Xueting, he Changhao, Wang Lei, you Tingting, Guo Meng, Liu Xiuliang, Jin Mengdi, Wang Yitong, Guo Yanbo, Qin Yao and Zhang Qihe (substitutes) to participate in the competition. After passing the online certification, the examination room was in good order and the students were calm. The final score was 90.7 points, ranking third in the Northern Division. They won the second prize in the preliminary competition and successfully entered the finals!
On April 23, the college organized all the students and training teachers to hold a preliminary stage summary meeting. The meeting was presided over by Kou Changgui, vice president of teaching, to summarize the results of the first stage of the competition. According to the students' usual performance and operation skills, they were selected: Tingting, Tian Fei, he Changhao, Li Hang, Liang Xue, he Changhao Chen Chunhua represented Jilin University in the Finals held on May 18 in Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat sen University. At the meeting, Secretary Zhao Guoli, President Liu Yawen, deputy secretary Liu Li and director Ye Lin affirmed the achievements of the students and expressed their gratitude to the students and the training teachers for their efforts.
